Celebrating IWD24
Celebrating IWD24

We celebrated International Women's Day 2024 on Friday the 8th of March at the Granton Campus.

We held a stall with information, freebies, & some craft activities and had some incredibly good chats with lots of students thorughout the day.

Huge thanks to our professional catering students who spread the joy, donating free cake and pastries for our stall.

The day was topped off with a live recital of poetry and story-telling from one of our Childhood Practive and ESOL students, Betty, with an uplifting version of her poems "Wao! Women!" and "Women! Don't Quit!"

Use of AI in College - Turnitin

The College announced to staff last month that they would be enabling AI writing detection on assignments submitted through Turnitin as of the 23rd February 2024.

The new changes to Turnitin mean that lecturers will now see an AI writing indicator which displays a percentage indicating the likelihood of AI-generated content. They have set out that lecturers retain full control over assessments and decision-making.
