Thank you to everyone who took part in the Elections, and especially to all the candidates who worked really hard campaigning last week. More than 1,000 students voted, which is the highest student turnout since 2016. We're delighted to welcome our new team of Full-Time Officers:

Our new Full-Time Officer team will take up their posts on Monday 1st July and will lead EC Students' Association for the whole of the next academic year, until 30th June 2025.

The Students' Association will be closed along with the rest of the College for the Easter Public Holidays (29th March and 1st April), but, we'll be working away for the rest of the student break fortnight, so, if you need us, you can still get in touch!

As part of the ongoing national industrial action about pay, lecturers' union EIS have announced further strike days that will be taking place at Edinburgh College on:

Wednesday 17th April

Thursday 25th April

Monday 29th April

The College will be in touch with all students about arrangements, so please check your college email, but it is likely that many classes will be cancelled, unless your lecturer informs you otherwise.

We're asking as many students as possible to have their say on what's impacting them most at the moment, from housing to finance and transport.

The survey takes 5 minutes to complete and everyone who takes part has the chance to win a £50 voucher, so make sure you complete it before it closes on Tuesday 2nd April.

Campuses are very busy and car parks are getting busier, so make sure you are up to date on your responsibilities if you are driving to campus.

• Have a valid parking permit (available from reception)
• Park only in designated parking bays 
• Display parking permit clearly, advised to be on windscreen
• Electric car charging bays are for use of electric cars only
• Visitor spaces are for use of authorised visitors only (permit required)
• Disabled spaces are for use of disabled blue badge holders only

Parking attendants are on campus between 8am and 3pm, Monday-Friday and you are subject to a penalty fine (sent directly to your home address) if you do not comply with parking regulations.

Also, a reminder that all vehicle drivers must comply with campus speed limits and drive slowly and carefully around car parks, etc.as campuses are shared with a high number of pedestrians and cyclists. Please take care and share our spaces in safe and considerate way. 

The Rock Trust are visiting the college soon to run some drop-in sessions for young people across Edinburgh who need 1 to 1 advice on housing, employment, and finances.
