Free breakfasts for students are back!

Hello to all, hope you had a good February break. We've been super busy and we've got lots to tell you in this month's newsletter!

Of course February was an incredibly busy but exciting month for most of us in the college, I have been liaising and working with other colege and university students' associations to join in with campaigns and fight for students rights, in cost of living, and ending poverty.

While we've been improving our engagement and representation back at base at our campuses with our Reps and Lead Reps, also we had great fun with our Wellbeing Fair and February Funzies and thank you to all who attended. We hope you enjoy our newsletter and learning everything we've done this month!

Adam Lowe, President

It's time for toast! Breakfast Club is back

Those lucky enough to have sniffed it out already, will have seen that free breakfast provision is now available across all campuses!

We are working alongside the College and our catering partners Gather & Gather to provide free, self-service breakfasts for all students who need them, across all campuses, Monday to Friday during term-time.

Are you our next President or Vice President?

EC Students’ Association is run by a team of elected students, also known as Full-Time Officers. Every year we run elections where students vote for a new team, and that’s why we need you! If you are passionate about improving things for students at Edinburgh College, we would love you to put yourself forward to be our new President, Vice President Welfare and Vice President Activities.

This is a full time role which is paid £25,472 for 35-hours a week. If you get elected, you'll be working a small and supportive team of staff who run events, activities, advocate for change and enrich the lives of Edinburgh College students.

We'll be hosting two drop-in online info events that you can join if you'd like to chat to us and find out more about how you can get involved:

  • Wednesday 19th February, 3.30-4.30pm and
  • Friday 21st February, 12-1pm
