At Edinburgh College we have a range of Clubs and Societies that you can join to make friends, learn new skills, and have fun!

We’ve had our first Society event of the year with our lovely Green Beans Beach Clean Up last Wednesday, but we have a lot more coming including an Autumnal Knitting and Crochet Meet Up, an LGBTQ+ Society Board Games Session, and a Women and Gender Queer Students in Music and Sound Meet Up. 

we support students to set up and run groups and activities throughout the year - if it's not here, you can make it happen by setting up your own society! 

SATURDAY 25 OCTOBER. Assembly from 10am - The Scottish Parliament

Scotland needs that change. Too many of us are being cut off from life's essentials. Too many are frightened of what the future will bring. Too many of us are feeling tired, angry, isolated, and disillusioned.  Too many are going hungry, or are without a home, or sacrificing meals for families, dreading winter due to heating costs, or struggling to get by on wages that don’t cover their household costs.

Scotland Demands Better is our chance to come together and demand that politicians make the changes we need for a society where every household can thrive and prosper.

Each class will be asked by their LDT or Course Tutor to elect two Class Reps to ensure that your voice is being heard when the college are making decisions. 

Class Reps act as our eyes and ears, identifying and reporting issues at the class level, as well as working with us to create solutions. Being a Class Rep is very rewarding as you get to help shape and improve the college for current and future students.

All of these student-led events are being organised through one of our Clubs and Societies - to take part in these events, join the groups using the link below and you'll be added into the Microsoft Team for that group.

Warm coats, warm hearts

As the weather starts to turn colder and we all search out our winter clothing, now is a great time to consider donating coats that you no longer need - help us reduce waste and keep
everyone warmer this winter.

Staff and students are encouraged to have a rummage in your cupboards and donate good quality coats, scarves, hats, and gloves to your local campus Students' Association Office over the coming weeks. The items will them be redistributed for free to students who need them.
