It has been a busy few weeks since the start of the new academic year, but we all get to enjoy a long weekend, with Monday the 18th of September being a COLLEGE CLOSURE DAY.

After a quiet summer period, it has been fantastic to see the campuses buzzing again with students and we've loved getting to talk to so many of you over the last few weeks, but we will be closed on Monday along with the rest of the College for the bank holiday

Back open on Tuesday as normal.

We have 2 exciting part-time job roles currently open for applications, exclusively for EC Students.

These roles will be on campus, working alongside the Students' Association team helping us engage with students and delivery our activities, and, what's more, they will be flexible around your timetable.

Our part-time jobs are always extremely popular, so please make sure you provide plenty of reasons why you should be our new BFF in your application!

The lecturers' trade union, EIS, has been on strike on specific days and campuses since the beginning of term, due to an ongoing dispute about a lecturer being made redundant.

These strikes are set to continue and increase over the coming weeks. We are working hard to help resolve the situation and end the disruption.

What does the Students' Associaiton do anyway?! Well, we're glad you asked! Every year, we use the summer period to discuss and plan our ideas for the year ahead. These end up becoming our Annual Priority Objectives and are what we focus on.
