The UK General Election is taking place on Thursday 4th July and we want students to be able to have their say on who should lead the country for the next four years. We've put together a handy guide with key info about how it will work, including links to register to vote and details about what photo ID you'll need to take with you on polling day.

We are having a summer clear out!

To start the new academic year fresh from August, we are doing a jumble sale-style pop up at Granton to giveaway some of our many clothes! We have all styles, shapes, colours and sizes and an abundance of kids' and babies clothes for people to take. Pride Party 2024

Wellbeing Newsletter

Issue 15 of the College's Wellbeing newsletter is out now. In this issue you can find details of the Big Walk taking place at Granton campus on Monday 27th May, open to all students and staff to join.

There's also a list of all the different external resources available to support your mental health, so you know where to turn to if you're struggling.

Construction work survey

The Construction Work Tasters project aims to encourage people aged 16-25 to consider a career in the construction sector. They want to hear from young people in Scotland about their views of the Construction Industry, so if you take 5 mins to fill out this survey, you could be in with a chance to win a £20 voucher.

Student Mental Health plan for 2024-26

Over the course of the last year, we've been speaking to students about their mental health and wellbeing. Last week, to coincide with Mental Health Awareness Week, we launched our Student Mental Health Agreement, which has been signed by the College Principal, Audrey Cumberford, and Students' Association President, Skye Marriner.

Join the Challenge Weekend away for young entrepreneurs!

Who is it for?
The Challenge Weekend is perfect for aspiring entrepreneurs, team players, and anyone seeking personal growth. If you’re ready to experience creative challenges in situations very similar to those which arise in the business world and push your limits, this event is for you!

When?
The next Challenge Weekend will take place from Friday, June 28th to Sunday, June 30th.

What is it?
The Challenge Weekend is a three-day adventure that combines physical and mental challenges. It’s designed to simulate real-world business situations, encouraging problem-solving, communication, and initiative. Involves some heights, some water and some mud!

Where?
For three days, your home will be at the Dounans Centre in Aberfoyle - FK8 3UT

Cost?
Free to attend but requires commitment and participation to the weekend.
