The Enterprise Fund (run by the Merchant Company of Edinburgh) offers up to £5,000 funding, along with mentorship support, to help individuals develop a business idea or early-stage venture. Shortlisted applicants will have the opportunity to pitch their idea at the Merchants’ Den (a Dragons’ Den-style event), where funding is awarded to successful pitchers.
Timing is tight as usual with these opportunities, but the key dates are below.
Key dates:
- 1st May – Application deadline
- 8th May – Applicants notified if shortlisted
- 28th May – Merchants’ Den (pitch event)
- 12th June – Funding distributed to successful applicants
