EC Students' Association is a Scottish registered charity (SC028544), which means we are ultimately overseen by a Board of Trustees. Their responsibility is to ensure good governance, that we're administered effectively, and that we're operating within the law.

Our Board is made up of eight people and is a mixture of Elected Full-Time Officers, Appointed Student Trustees, and Appointed External Trustees. All appointed Trustees are volunteers and give their time and expertise to help steer the Association forward through our Strategic Plan.

You can find out more about how our governance works in our Constitution, which sets out our Charitable Aims and how we are run.

The Board are responsible for writing and tracking the implementation of the Association's Strategic Plan. Our latest plan "Buzzin' for the Future" runs until 2028.

Our Board is made up of a majority of Students as follows:

  • 3 x Full-time Student Officers
  • 2 x Student Trustees (Volunteers)
  • 3 x External Trustees (Volunteers)
