Edinburgh College and ECSA have joined forces to deliver a very exciting Sustainable Education Week for you all this year!
Mary, your VP Activities, has been pushing for more environmentally focussed activities on campus to make sustainable lifestyle choices more accessible to EC students.
This time last year, we did a Sustainability Survey and the areas students wanted to see prioritised were:
- Tackling poverty to enable more students to access and succeed at College.
- Investing in new sustainable energy systems to run our buildings.
- Moving towards a plastic-free campus.
The events, activities, and priorities of ECSA this year are a reflection of the conversations that took place last year and this is why we've got 'Helping the Planet' as one of our strategic aims, and why it's been such a priority in the work Mary has been doing at ECSA so far.
We have so many events during Sustainability Week that we would love for you to come along to - even if it's on a different campus to your usual one, you are welcome!
