Elections 2026 — The Results

After a big week of campaigning and conversations, we can now announce the results of the 2026 EC Students’ Association Full-Time Officer Elections!

Firstly, thank you to each and every student who took the time to vote – your choice has a huge impact on the role and direction of the Students' Association for the next academic year, and we couldn’t do it without you.

Voting is now open!

The time has come for all Edinburgh College students to cast their votes and have their say on who will lead the Students' Association next year. Voting is now open, until 2pm on Thursday 19th March. Make sure you have your say by clicking the button below to vote. You will need to log in using your usual Edinburgh College details.

2026 Election Candidates Announced!

We’re delighted to announce the candidates for this year’s Students’ Association Elections! Firstly, a huge well done to all the candidates that have put themselves forward to represent the students of Edinburgh College for the next academic year. Each of the elected officers helps to build the student voice, create communities, advise and advocate for students. 

The Full-Time Officers begin their roles on 1st July and will remain in post for the full year. Click on the links below to meet the candidates and find out what their priorities for Edinburgh College students are.

Elections nominations closing this Friday!

We’re back from the February break with a big reminder: Elections Nominations close this Friday, 27th February at 10am. If you've got the passion to represent students at Edinburgh College and lead our Students’ Association, now is the time to submit your nomination!

The Students' Association is run by students who want to make a difference, have fun, and get paid while doing it! 

Elections season is coming up and we are looking for students who could be the next President, Vice President Activities, or Vice President Welfare. These three roles are the most important part of our organsiation. They keep us connected to students so that we can represent and advocate for you in the best possible way.

This year's officers, Adam, Sukinder and Mary are not running in the 2026 elections, which means there are three positions up for grabs:

Annual Elections

Edinburgh College Students’ Association is run by a team of elected student officers, who are up for election each year. All current Edinburgh College students who are over 16 are eligible to stand in the election and to vote using their student login. 

Why should I run?

EC Students’ Association represents students and works to defend, extend and promote students’ rights. Each of the elected officers helps to build student voice, create communities, advise and advocate for students. Each has a remit they work on:
