Whatever it is you’re passionate about, why not share that with others? Each year the Students’ Association seeks out a team of volunteer student officers and quite simply, their job is to make your life better. Exec Officers could be out campaigning for better rights, or helping run a sports club, or making sure your campus is the best it could be. It’s up to you!

If you’re passionate about helping others and want to give something back to the college and our community, then why not run to be an executive officer? Nominations are open on November 17th and close on November 25th . Voting is done online and is from the 28th till the Friday 2nd of December – you’ll hear more about how to vote nearer time.

Roles

Campus Conveners

As a campus convener you’ll be working directly with the ECSA President to investigate and design solutions for issues surrounding education and the student learning experience. By attending and facilitating discussions at class rep conferences, and gathering learning and teaching issues from students on the ground, you will be part of the solution to these problems - leading to a better student experience for all at Edinburgh College.

Activities Officers

As a campus Activities Officer, you will be working closely with the Vice-President (Sport & Activities). Your role is get more Edinburgh College students involved in social activities that give students the chance to widen their horizons. The Activities Officer will work with existing societies and will take the lead on working with students to develop new activities.

Equality & Diversity Officers

As a campus Equality & Diversity Officer you will be working closely with the Vice-President (Welfare) to ensure that issues affecting LGBT+ students, Women, Disabled students, and Black students are represented in ECSA’s democratic structures. Your role will look at how ECSA & the college can work to tackle issues that prevent those from liberation groups from achieving their full potential.

Sports Officers

As a campus Sports Officer, you will be working closely with the Vice-President (Sport & Activities). Your role is get more Edinburgh College students involved in sporting activities - both competitive and recreational. The Sports Officer will have the opportunity to get involved with Scottish Student Sport activities, and will take the lead on events designed to boost the profile of sport.

Welfare Officers

As a campus Welfare Officer you will be working closely with the Vice-President (Welfare) to ensure that students are well-supported and have the opportunity to achieve their goals. The Campus Welfare Officer will work with students to investigate the causes of welfare issues, and to design solutions to those problems
