ECSA recently bagged 2 awards at the NUS Scotland Awards which took place on Friday the 16th of March. The student association was shortlisted in 3 categories: 

  1. 'College Student Association of the Year'
  2. 'The Education Award'
  3. 'Student Officer Team of the Year'

ECSA was successful in Winning the Education award, beating out both universities and colleges in this category. The award was in recognition of all the hard work in ensuring an effective system for representation of the student's voice through Class Reps & focussing on improving the Learning & Teaching experience at Edinburgh College.

ECSA also won 'Student Association of the year' making us the first College Student Association in Scotland to not only win the award twice but also win it back to back.

“To have picked up two prizes at the NUS Scotland awards is fantastic. All of the team is over the moon.

“Winning College Students’ Association of the Year two years on the bounce is something we never could have dreamed of. There are so many students’ associations who do brilliant work all over the country so to have won this and the Education award is brilliant. It’s a credit to our entire team and to all of our students who contribute to our strong student voice.”
