What a year it has been. As we get ready to wrap up the year, we take a look back at what 2019-20 brought through our Annual End of Year Report. July sees the previous Officers Carla, Shannon, & Seoras wave farewell, and the new team of Jordan, Victoria, & Rose take over.
Every year our key priorities are set in line with the ECSA Pillars of Action; Education, Activities, Support and Equality and this year was no different. Carla, Shannon & Seroas set out their priorities way back in August 2019 and a whole lot has happened since then! The report highlights the activities and the work done within these 4 Pillars of Action as well as a fifth area of work that no one could have predicted - One third of the academic year was impacted by the global COVID-19 pandemic, bringing on the need to close the campuses and take the Students' Association online.
There's no doubt, the last months have been a challenge, however we are proud to continue to break new ground, ensuring our evidence-based approach to change puts student opinion at the heart of decision-making. Underpinning all of our achievements is partnership, whether that has been with students, college departments or external agencies and we would like to take this opportunity to thank the Edinburgh College Board for all their support as well as Edinburgh College staff for their engagement. Most importantly, we would like to thank our amazing students to getting involved and helping to make a difference.
We can't wait to do it all (and more) again in 2020-21 with the new team of Jordan, Victoria, and Rose, but for now have a read at our End of Year Report and look back on another busy year for ECSA!
