Earth Day 2025 | ECSA

Earth Day 2025

Earth Day is a time to reflect on our impact while also appreciating the beauty and diversity of nature and the world around us. And most importantly, to take action to protect it.

This Earth Day, let’s celebrate our planet!

Join us from 12 PM to 2 PM at the Atrium in Sighthill for a free mini terrarium-building workshop using upcycled glass jars. We’ll provide all materials, including a selection of plants, and you can take your terrarium home as a lasting reminder of nature’s power and resilience.

Terrariums represent the delicate balance of nature, where plants, soil, and water depend on each other to thrive—just as we rely on the health of our environment. This mindful activity takes about 30 minutes and will be first come, first served, so arrive early if you can.

We’ll also be handing out wildflower seeds to help create a bee-friendly environment and brighten up our surroundings!

Additionally, try our wishing well where you can write wishes on dissolvable paper and drop them into a bucket of water. To honour your wishes, we’ll spray an ECSA terrarium with the water, symbolising a connection between our hopes for the planet and the ecosystems we nurture.

ECSA will also run a litter pick from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM around the campus’ outdoor spaces so as to promote cleaner, plastic-free public spaces. The collected litter will be displayed in the Atrium as a reminder of our collective responsibility to care for our environment. You're more than welcome to join us!
