On-campus accommodation

Edinburgh College has two on-campus residences based atMilton Road and Granton. You can also apply for these residences if you are based at Sighthill or Midlothian. See below for public transport links between campuses, and remember your Student Ridacard or your Railcard for cheaper transport!

On-campus accommodation at Milton Road features the following:

  • 102 standard single study rooms and 18 en-suite study rooms
  • Five evening meals per week during term times
  • Onsite communal facilities including: laundry, ironing, computers, games and TV area
  • Access to free college WiFi network
  • No utility bills or council tax

On-campus accommodation at Granton features the following:

  • A mixture of 110 five-bedroom apartments and self-contained studios
  • No utility bills or council tax
  • Access to free college WiFi network
  • Communal room including comfy sofas, football table and large screen TV

You may require a UK-based guarantor for these residences, depending on whether you plan to pay the full year’s rent up-front or in instalments.

Students who live outwith a reasonable travel distance of their college campus may be eligible for assistance towards college halls of residence costs up to Β£116.79 per week. This allowance is means-tested against parental income.

If you are awarded assistance towards halls of residence costs, you would not be eligible to receive the full bursary maintenance advised above. You will however be considered for a personal allowance of up to Β£30.59 per week, or EMA of Β£30.00 per week depending on your age/circumstances.
