As Vice President of Activities I will work to improve student engagement in activities run across the college campuses by increasing awareness of available facilities and the variety of opportunities for students. I will promote an inclusive community environment where students can bring their own ideas, access resources, collaborate with each other and be themselves.I want all members of the student community to feel supported. I’ll do this by fighting for funding support to alleviate hardship and supporting access to mental health support and other safe space environments.
I want to make it easy for students to come together and pursue common interests to enhance their extra curricular experiences at Edinburgh College. I believe in removing barriers and empowering individuals to collaborate with each other across campuses, this includes an aim to improve links between campuses for a more unified experience. I want to improve information outlets about college activities, so that all students have clear, easy to access and up to date information about what’s on across the college campuses. I want to ensure that social spaces across the campuses give students a place to relax on campus, study together and socialise between and after classes.
I’m caring and dedicated, and have been told that I’m friendly, personable and easy to talk to. I always apply myself to my responsibilities and go above and beyond for my community. I’ll bring skills from previous leadership roles to help create positive change at the college as VP Activities.
