Get outside and volunteer with The Green Team

The Green Team runs outdoor activities for young people in Edinburgh and the surrounding area, including conservation tasks, environmental education and outdoor fun.

The Green Team are looking for student volunteers to support them in delivering their summer activities for children aged 8-12 years old. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain valuable experience in youth work, environmental education and nature play. If you would like to get involved please email the Green Team Volunteer Coordinator, Mandy Craig (mandy.craig@greenteam.org.uk).

Interested in a career in sustainability? Join the Catalyse Change Catalyst Summit 

Catalyse Change CIC is a social enterprise supporting girls and young women to develop sustainability skills and knowledge for ‘healthy, happy and green’ communities, career and planet. 

Although based in Bristol, they are running their summer Catalyst Summit for girls and young women aged 16-24 online, so it is open to anyone! Following 3 days of online, interactive workshop sessions in July, you will be matched with a mentor. This is a woman already working in sustainability who will work with you for up to 6 months after the Catalyst Summit to support your journey as a sustainability changemaker!

Explore Edinburgh with a 4 month Just Eats Cycle pass for only £10

This offer is available to all Edinburgh College students until the end of July. The first 60 minutes of each session on a bike is covered by the pass and it’s only 5p per minute if you go over the 1 hour. The pass also gives you access to unlock a Just Cycles’ electric bike (normally £1.50 to unlock) and pay just 10p per minute after the first 3 minutes of a session.

See everything the city has to offer at the Edinburgh Climate Festival 

The annual Edinburgh Climate Festival is back! Taking place on Saturday 14th August on Leith Links, the Climate Festival is a free and family friendly event organised in collaboration with lots of community organisations across the city to inspire climate action.
