Meet the President, David

Hi, I'm David, your EC Students' Association President.

I have just completed an HND in Events Management at the college. I am a mature student who had to find a different career path in life after undergoing major brain surgery 8 years ago now. I find my brain condition more of a strength in my armour rather than a hindrance to me, as I do not let it beat me, rather than challenge me. 
 
So, what led me to run for President of ECSA? I hear you ask. Well, I believe in the power of the student voice and how that can make change within the college. I want to work with you, the students, this academic year to improve the student experience, whether this be in the learning and teaching you are receiving from the curriculum staff, funding issues, or general support needs. The office door is always open and kettle on if you want to come in and say hi or if you see me on any of the campuses, come over and say hello.
 
I am looking forward to having a great year at ECSA putting on some exciting events and making positive changes for the overall student experience. I will of course keep you all updated in a future blog to what I have been getting up to and what exciting things ECSA have planned.  Please also remember to follow us on all our socials as well to stay right up to date.
