EC Students' Association and the College, have been shortlisted in the Responsible Business of the Year category for our work in supporting students during the cost-of-living crisis. This has included the launch of the free breakfast club, the winter fair, our new partnership with foodbanks and the continued success of the Swap Shops and Community Fridges.
Overall, Edinburgh College has been shortlisted in two categories at this year’s Edinburgh Chamber of Commerce Business Awards. The College has also been named as a finalist in the Inspiring Partnership Award category alongside tech-experts Cadpeople for an innovative Virtual Reality (VR) programme which sees the College utilise VR to provide a unique learning experience for students studying across health and social care courses. This enables students to develop their skills and understanding of working with people suffering from dementia. You can find out more about this project here.
The winners of the Edinburgh Chamber of Commerce Business Awards will be announced at a ceremony held at the Edinburgh International Conference Centre on Thursday 9 March 2023.
