Position: Intern Grant Writer and Copy expert (flexible part-time opportunity)
Number of vacancies: 2
Term of internship: 3-6 months

LOCATION: Edinburgh (mostly Remote except on a few occasions)
STIPEND: £ ______ per month 
TIME COMMITMENT: 10 hours a week (1.5 days) 


Role: 

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to intern with ECDT as a Fund Writing and Copy Expert. In this role, you will be trained and work on developing and submitting grant proposals, as well as collaborate closely with the fundraising committee board members. Your writing assignments may extend beyond fund writing to include developing marketing materials.

Responsibilities

Putting your ninja skills to: 

  • Study and understand the ECDT structure, objectives and programs
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of fundraising strategies 
  • Research national and international grant opportunities from government and non-government organisations including foundations.
  • Work on the preparation and submission of grant proposals, including researching potential funders and drafting proposal documents.
  • Work with all departments to collect and organize data.
  • Work with the communications and design intern on their writing needs
  • Respond to internal queries on drafted and submitted proposals.
  • Maintain records and submit reports related to grant opportunities.

 

Requirements

  • A deep love for writing and internet surfing
  • Passion to learn fundraising and industry best practices
  • Strong management and organizational skills to ensure that deadlines and core deliverables are met
  • Experience with building & maintaining strong relationships with various stakeholders/partners
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
