Edinburgh College set out on their Scottish College Cup title defense on Wednesday afternoon against Moray College, who saw off North East Scotland College in the previous round. They arrived in the capital full of confidence, looking to extend their cup run, however it wasn't long before hearts were broken. Edinburgh produced a very convincing performance on the 3G at Spartans, scoring after 2 minutes, they never looked back, going in at half-time with a 4-1 lead. The students added another 4 in the second half with no reply, scoring some very good goals, which included 5 different scorers from all over the park.
The students now progress into the Semi-Final with a trip up to Dundee to face Dundee and Angus College, it will be sure to provide entertainment and goals, as they progressed from their Quarter-Final scoring 16 goals in the process. If Edinburgh reach the final, it will be a chance to claim an unprecedented 4th Scottish College Cup title in a row, after the most dramatic of finals last season.
