The last week of June is always a sad one for us - it's our handover week, where we say goodbye to our outgoing student officer team, and welcome our new one.

The incoming team (Sarah as President, Shannon as VP Sports & Activities, and Beth returned as VP Welfare) spent a few days last week at Stirling University on residential training, working on their priorities for the next year, and being briefed by the outgoing team on how to get things done in the college to support students to succeed and pass their course.

Speaking on setting her priorities, Sarah said:

There's a huge amount of work to be done to support student parents and apprentices. I am beyond excited to get stuck in this year! Can't wait to meet you all!

Chatting about the training, Shannon said:

Our residential training was a great chance for us to bond together as a team, to set out what we want to achieve, and to learn more about the student movement

Yesterday was a sad day for us, as we said goodbye to Neal, who was our President for the last two years, and Cammy, who had been our VP Sports & Activities last year. They've given a huge amount of their time and energy to making ECSA the best it can be, and we want to wish them all the best for the future. Cammy is returning as a student next year, so we'll be making sure to keep an eye out for him.

We also wished our goodbyes to Tia, our Sighthill Student Engagement Assistant for the last two years. She's off to university to study cyber security and we wish her all the best on this next step of her journey!
