Peer support group for autistic students
This term, we're working alongside the College's Learning Support team to set up and promote a Peer Support group for autistic students. The group is going to be meeting online via Teams once a month. The next meeting will take place after the April holidays.
This is an inclusive, safe space where autistic students can come together to chat socially, share your ideas about how College could be made more inclusive, and informally discuss any challenges you are facing and solutions that have worked for you. Both diagnosed and undiagnosed autistic students are welcome, as well as any students who are considering that they might be autistic. The group will be facilitated by staff who have lived experience of autism.
If you are interested in joining, please register using the form below and select your preferred day and timeslot for the next meeting. Participants don't have to speak or turn their cameras on if they don't wish to.
We will upload the teams link for the meeting closer to the time.
Please spread the word to any other students you think might be interested.
