Hello everyone!
Hello everyone!
Hello everyone! As the crisp air of October arrives and the vibrant hues of autumn start to grace our surroundings, it’s a perfect time to focus on a fundamental aspect of our well-being: sleep.
In 2008, at 18 months old, my younger brother Blair had a life saving liver transplant after a very generous person chose to donate their organs when they passed away.
So, what have I been up to in the last few months… well I have been quite busy to say the least. The main thing that I have been doing recently is my own self development.
Hello everyone! It’s Sukinder here, your VP Welfare.
Hello everyone! It's lovely to see the college so full and courses starting in the next few weeks.
I have always been the quiet little guy, so taking on this role is a very new experience and responsibility for me. But I believe I will be a good fit for the job because recently due to me being quiet and reserved, I’m now very passionate and at the forefront of my opinions and idealistic thoughts.
Our Director tells me that, traditionally, VP Welfare is a post that does “fluffy stuff”. Things to make you feel better, freebies for students, and general virtual group hugs. Well, if you’ve never met me, you probably don’t realise that I am far from traditional in that sense.
I have just completed an HND in Events Management at the college. I am a mature student who had to find a different career path in life after undergoing major brain surgery 8 years ago now. I find my brain condition more of a strength in my armour rather than a hindrance to me, as I do not let it beat me, rather than challenge me.
Much like my sister in crime and the VP Welfare, Skye, I’m Autistic and whilst this is a part of my personality, I by no means let it define me!
