Another blog post incoming from me, your President! I hope you are all well and adjusting to the dark nights and cold winter mornings that are now upon us. Halloween is officially over and you know what that means – Christmas is on the way!

Christmas brings a whole new dimension for students…Christmas nights out and Christmas presents… how on earth do we manage to get through December and January on minimal income?

Beth's Blog: Getting started for the year

Hey everybody,

Excited to make my first post as your new Vice-President Welfare for Edinburgh College Students’ Association.

Now we are a few weeks into the new term I thought I’d give you all a taster of what I’ve been up to so far within my new role within the Students’ Association.

Firstly, I’d like to welcome all new and returning students within the college, I truly enjoyed assisting around 5500 students enrol into college during the Welcome Events. I hope you’re enjoying your course so far and grabbing every opportunity there is for you!

President's Update - Welcome

Since it has been the coldest summer in the UK for about 35 years, let me give all our new and returning students a warm welcome to Edinburgh College.

The welcome weeks seen around 5500 students pass through the doors of the college and it was a pleasure to be a part of the induction and meeting everyone who attended.

Fond Farewells

Well this will be my last and final blog post as the Vice President of Sports & Activities. My time as your elected officer has been so amazing. And i take great pleasure in the work I have done for all Students across all 5 campuses at Edinburgh College. It has been such a pleasure meeting ever student both in my elected position and of course during both my campaign sessions. And i would like to thank every single student personally who had faith in me to represent them during there busy time in there studies.

Presidents Update

Firstly, I would like to thank each and every one of the Students’ who voted in the Big Elections. It’s fair to say that despite the strike day we turned out in hundreds and voted to elect our Full Time Officers for next year.

So it's the end of week ones Health and Wellbeing Fair. It has been a good turnout so far. We have had the likes of Smokeline, Crew2000, Health in Mind, Thistle Foundation and Changeworks. These are all great organisations that can help our overall wellbeing. We have invited them along so that you can get involved and ask them questions on any subject regarding your health. The fair will be running again next week, so if you have missed it, don't worry. Tuesday the 8th at Sighthill campus and Thursday the 10th at Midlothian campus.
